Michelin Jones Vaughn joins USG as the ACES Career Readiness Coordinator with the Center for Transfer Access. Michelin will serve up-county ACES high school juniors and seniors at Watkins Mills, Gaithersburg, Clarksburg, and Seneca Valley High School by providing robust career readiness training and targeted career coaching that aligns with the NACE and HireU career competencies.
Michelin previously served as the senior supported education and employment specialist for a mental health nonprofit, where Michelin played a pivotal role in pioneering a first episode psychosis program and actively contributed to establishing a supportive framework that laid the foundation for clients’ academic and career success.
Michelin holds a degree in psychology and criminal justice from the University of Maryland, College Park, and is deeply committed to championing the educational and career pursuits of black, brown students, and those from immigrant backgrounds. Michelin’s passion is reflected not only in her professional roles but also in her ongoing commitment to creating an inclusive and empowering environment for individuals who often face additional hurdles in their pursuit of higher education and career success. Michelin believes in the transformative power of education and is dedicated to ensuring equitable opportunities and support for all students, irrespective of their background. Beyond education and career success, Michelin enjoys traveling, trying new cuisines, reading, and music.
