Camille FreidrickaFreidricka Camille is a Career Readiness Coordinator at the Universities at Shady Grove (USG), specifically serving students in the Achieving Collegiate Excellence & Success (ACES) program. Freidricka develops and implements career readiness programming that provide students with experiential opportunities to enhance their career competencies and confidence. Previously, Freidricka led a youth and early college/career mentoring program at Asian American Youth Leadership Empowerment and Development (AALEAD), a youth development organization that offers leadership and identity exploration programs to underserved youth in DC, Maryland, and Virginia. She managed Don Bosco Cristo Rey’s Corporate Work Study Program, coordinating the job placement for students from under-resourced populations. Additionally, Freidricka has experience working for the Peace Corps Headquarters supporting its mission in various capacities including administrative services, recruitment, placement, travel, and executive support. Freidricka has a Master of Education in Human Development from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Strayer University.

Freidricka utilizes a positive youth development and strengths-based approach in centering youth voice and leadership in order for students to realize their fullest potential. As a Filipino-American, first generation immigrant, and first in her family to pursue college in the United States, Freidricka’s experience navigating her college and career pathway has influenced her commitment to college access and equity, career development, and positive youth development. Freidricka enjoys strategic board games, hiking and the outdoors, yoga, and reading.
