Belvey is very excited to help students achieve their dream of going to college. Prior to coming to Achieving Collegiate Excellence and Success (ACES), she worked as an ESOL teacher and school counselor in Montgomery County Public Schools. She has also worked as an ESL part-time faculty and a Career Coach with Montgomery College’s ESL and GED programs. She received her BFA in Theatre Administration from Howard University, a master’s degree in teaching English to speakers of other languages from The City College of New York, and a master’s in school counseling from Johns Hopkins University. In addition to working in education, she has helped create two non-profit organizations and volunteers at local theatres.
