Carmen Salazar joins the ACES program with 7 years experience in education. Most recently, she was an 8th grade school counselor at Eastern Middle School. She also previously worked for Montgomery County Public Schools as a College/Career Information Coordinator (CCIC) at Montgomery Blair High School. She earned her bachelor’s of science in sociology from Towson University and her master’s of science in school counseling from Johns Hopkins University.
Ms. Salazar is a dedicated professional who encourages students to think of their future aspirations and is passionate about advocating on behalf of students and families. She always strives to create a more inclusive environment. For this reason, Ms. Salazar believes that forming positive relationships with students goes a long way.
