Sylena Ellison Bio HeadshotSylena Ellison is a first-generation college student from Connecticut.  She has over 10 years of experience in education.  Most recently she worked for Northern Virginia Community College as a transition counselor for the Pathway to the Baccalaureate Program where she provided underrepresented high school seniors and community college students with academic, career and transition planning throughout their journey in higher education. She taught Student Development-College Success Skills courses and conducted information sessions on various college preparedness topics.

Sylena graduated from Central Connecticut State University with her bachelor’s degree in psychology.  Shortly thereafter she completed her master’s degree in community psychology – clinical concentration at University of New Haven.  She is excited to be a part of the ACES team and looks forward to working with Montgomery College ACES students.
