A: Montgomery College is a National Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Two-year Education, a distinction jointly granted by the National Security Agency and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. As a result, Montgomery College provides specialized curricula developed in partnership with industry and government to help prepare students for the many opportunities in cybersecurity-related careers.
Q: What are the new features of the lab?
A: The creation and implementation of our new Cybersecurity Lab will help students expand and enhance their existing hands-on capabilities, obtain additional skills, host events during Cyber Security Awareness Month, and host cyber competitions that combine state-of-the-art virtual learning environments, digital forensics, cyber operations, and remote access.

To help students gain technical skills in a professional environment that keeps pace with the current job market, Montgomery College will soon be offering several new and improved programs such as work-based training opportunities, including on-the-job training through internships.
